DJ-ene FAFO, NA3IMA, Adipop og DJ Nefertiti står klare til å utforske Afrikas mangfoldige musikalske arv. Disse fremtredende DJ-ene tar et dypdykk i et bredt spekter av rytmer og melodier for å binde sammen lyder fra Afrikas kontinent — fra nord til sør, øst til vest — Karibien og Oslo.

FAFO thrives on bouncy tribal drums, hard beats, playful melodies and electronic rhythm. She moves freely through a good list of genres. Approaching music by blurring lines, blending textures and mixing percussive sounds. Here to serve the listener an eclectic sonic feast. 

All you can do is let loose and FAFO.

NA3IMA (nah-ee-muh) is an Oslo based DJ with a Somali background. NA3IMA spent her early twenties exploring different areas in the creative world. On her new path as a self-taught DJ, she is hoping to impact the scene. Mixing the sounds of the cultures she grew up with, she transcends different genres. At the end of the day, her goal is for the audience to say they have been taken around the globe.

Adipop har spilt på klubber i inn- og utland siden 2012. Den Oslo-baserte DJ-en spiller elektronisk musikk med hint og referanser til RnB, hiphop, dancehall, reggae og afro. Adipop har spilt på festivaler som Øyafestivalen og Vinjerock. I tillegg har hun gjestet klubber i Stockholm, London og New York. Dj-en har varmet opp for internasjonale navn som Kingdom og Jillionaire, og laget radioshow for Radar Radio i UK. Hun har også gjort mikser for blant annet Rinse FM og NTS Radio og gitt ut musikk på det franske indielabelet HTS.

DJ Nefertiti has made the city dance for decades. Norwegian-Somali Idil took the DJ name Nefertiti in 2009 when she decided to bring underground electronic sounds from the SWANA region (Southwest Asian and North African) to the north, east and South Africa. She is not into labeling her sound but as she says, it is “impossible notto move your body”. At that time, she experienced the Oslo scene as rich in a lot of other music genres, but lacked arenas where African and Arabic music could be danced to. This was very well received, and she has since organised her own club nights. DJ Nefertiti is quick to point to increased accessibility as the reason for that, but a large part of the credit goes to outstanding communicators who spread the message, night after night.
